Let's see where do I begin… how about at the beginning???
Monday... yeah I don't remember much of what we did Monday other than me being so excited about my interview on Tuesday.
Tuesday... had a 2 hour working interview at a doggie day care. We had about 30 dogs, and I thought, wow a busy day.... oh so little did I know!
The interview went so well that they offered me a job at the end of it, and I was off to take my drug test.
Wednesday... Orientation at work, but sadly I didn't get to be with the dogs.
Thursday... Immigration office to pick up a temp work permit that the USCIS Help desk told us we could get, that the Field office told us they had not given out in almost 1 and 1/2 years. A little call to their help desk (again) yielding the information that not only would it be 7 days before we were outside the processing date, (this being 7 days after they told me last week that today would be the day we were outside the processing time) but that the receipt number was sufficient for Giles to start work.
We were very happy and did some shopping for me some jeans to wear to work, and then had lunch and back home to get ready for both of our first full days at work.
Allowed Maggie outside for a while only to end up with a scratched cheek when I tried to bring her back inside.
Friday… 68+ dogs. We had so many dogs yesterday. The day was good, despite the fact that I had not really slept much the night before. I have a new boyfriend he is a HUGE rottie named Scorpio, he would run over to me and wag his whole butt when I would walk into the yard and then lean against me or sit on my feet. Speaking of walking into the yard.
Do you know what it's like to walk though a gate and see 70 some odd large dogs turn and swarm you??? Well let me tell you, it's awesome!
Got home from work to find out that, big surprise the USCIS help desk was wrong again! Called them back only to find out that now they say we are 30 more days out before our case is considered outside the processing date. They happily filled an inquiry for me but informed me that it would be up to 45 days before they got back to us with any sort of information.
Today… Was nipped on the cheek by Maggie, crawled back into bed to pout about it to
xtown_traffic. Walked Tazie outside on the choke lead, he did GREAT!!! Noticed a huge possible mistake on our Adjustment of Status application on the USCIS website and emailed our lawyer who didn't bother to call be back yesterday.
Plans for today...Dog park with Tazie, and a trip to PetSmart for cat food, dog food, and litter.
